FrolicChris
I’m Chris Feyrer. I play video game music on piano, live, with a soft spot for Yuzo Koshiro and SEGA. Requests welcome.
I also write my own music, make lead sheets, and sing tenor with the Madison Symphony Orchestra Chorus.

Live
Sundays and Thursdays, 6–8 pm Central
A curated SEGA playlist, plus your video game music requests, on Twitch.
Away from the stream, I play at Madison VGM Jams and conventions. Here’s my SEGA set from VGMCon 2024.

Community
I’m part of the music community on Twitch, and I love it. I support other music content creators, especially the ones who write their own music, and a lot of what I play and learn comes from them.

BubbleFacts
I made BubbleFacts to give back to this community. It’s a free app that lets music content creators teach their listeners about whatever they’re performing, whether it’s their own song, another creator’s, a popular hit, or a deep cut. Short facts appear on stream while the music keeps going, and every fact is checked against its source before it appears.

Listen
My published originals are new age piano: melodic, unhurried pieces in the tradition of the classic instrumental piano records, with the sweep of a film score and the stillness of meditative music. I also count Jan Hammer among my influences.
Young Love has become my signature piece. It and Water in the Moonlight are the originals people request most on stream.
I’ve been composing since I was seven. MuseScore is the easiest place to hear the pieces and follow along with the score, and if you play piano, the sheet music is there for you to play them yourself.
I also scored Apotheosis, a 2010 short film (IMDb).
New lead sheets and recordings are posted in Updates. I’ve also contributed two transcriptions to VGLeadSheets.

Updates
New lead sheets, recordings, and stream notes will show up here.
Chorus
I sing Tenor II with the Madison Symphony Orchestra Chorus at Overture Center.
This season I’m singing in A Madison Symphony Christmas (December 4–6, 2026) and the premiere of Spacious Skies: A Choral Symphony (April 9–11, 2027).
